Kyle, Katherine, Joel and Mom & Dad took Alek to Kneaders for breakfast...a sort of 'last meal', at least with the family and friends.
Later on the family went to get frozen yogurt . Nobody wanted to talk about what was coming up. We all tried to stay cheerful and talk about safer subjects!
We bumped into Nicole (Hodson) Millheim and her family bringing Josh Millheim in the same day, going to the same mission as Alek, Argentina-Rosario. They took a picture of the family for us. We are starting to get a little teary-eyed but are still holding it together.
My boy!! I'm so proud of him. How lucky am I to be his mother?
So much for holding it together! And once the tears started they couldn't be stopped. Needless to say it was a quiet ride home interspersed with some sniffling. We are so proud of him and so excited for this amazing experience he is about to have, but we will miss having him around. He brings us lots of joy, laughter, and happiness. Argentina is lucky to have him...and they'd better take good care of him!!
Off he goes... Elder Clubb (sigh, sniffle, sniffle)
