Hola familia!
Happy birthday to Jaxson!! Im happy
for you big guy! I hope you have a great birthday! :D And I forget to mention
some others, so sorry! Happy birthday to Nathan Erin and Grandpa as well! I
hope you all had awesome birthdays and that you are all doing well :)
Earlier in the week we did
divisions, Elder Butler and I. It was pretty fun, we made some bbq chicken and
we found some jalapeƱos and boy that was a mistake haha. We've been in
Argentina too long, where the spiciest thing you eat is pepper, because we were
crying and there was watery snot all over our faces. I forgot what spicy food
was like! And since we missed priesthood conference we played that and listened
to it while we ate. While we were working we stopped by the family busto's and
that was really neat because right when we walked in, the mom told us that she
is looking for a date to get married with her marido so that she can be
baptized :) That is really great news because we've been praying for her and
her family, and so this was a great answer to our prayers. They are thinking it
will happen before the end of the year, so hopefully Ill still be here! Im
really grateful I was able to get to know this family and be able to teach
them.
Something about Elder Argueta that
is really good is that he has a incredible memory. Scriptures, peoples names,
stuff like that, he just remembers it. Which is really great because people
always thinks it's neat when someone remembers their name, and he can quote scriptures
like none other. He is an incredible teacher and it has been really cool to
teach with him. Even during contacts, like this last week we contacted a lady
who was in a lesson with an evangelist teacher, and they asked us about our
religion. And being with Elder Argueta in a time like that is awesome because
he can describe anything to everyone and the people end up sitting and thinking
about what we said seriously. Unfortunately people have their agency, and I
know I felt the spirit in those discussions, and most of the time they say
chau, nice to meet you. Maybe without knowing we planted a little seed that the
Lord can work with until the next elders that come by.
Yesterday was Mother's Day in
Argentina, and it was really good! So a happy mothers day Mom, from here in
Argentina :) Elder Argueta was calling members and investigators and wishing
them a happy mothers day and it was so neat to hear their reactions, it really
meant a lot to them! Our ward's temple trip was on saturday and there were 2 families
sealed on that day, and that was so special to hear from them the next day and
they were so grateful for their many blessings. A temple sealing is a
tremendous blessing, and that just helped me feel more grateeful for my family
:) I love you guys.
So that was my week, thus far. Thank
you for everything you do for me, and I hope I can somehow portray the examples
you have shown me, that I may be more Christlike. You are in my prayers always,
and I hope you feel them.
Los amo mucho, espero que tengan una
buena semana, cuidense
